FRIESZ (Othon). Autograph letter signed to a "dear Sir". Toulon, 16 September 1920. 3 pp. in-8, mention of the artist's name in blue pencil in another hand. CONCERNING HIS PORTRAIT OF DEBUSSY ON HIS DEATHBED, engraved by Dumser, which would be published in the special issue of the Revue musicale of December 1, 1920, devoted to the composer. The director of this review was Henry Prunières and the secretary and future editor-in-chief was Jean Bélime, known as André Cœuroy. Perhaps she thought I would give it to her? From this came some resentment... I have just made... a long stay and a trip to Italy. I am resting for a while at our villa in Toulon and will be in Paris at the end of this month. If you happen to be passing by, come and say hello to me at the studio... »
