1973 TRIUMPH TR6 PI - Lot 81
1973 TRIUMPH TR6 PI Serial number CR2524L0 - Recently restored - Desirable PI version: the most powerful TR6 ever! Portuguese registration In 1969, in a tight budgetary context following its integration into the British Leyland group, Triumph chose to use the technical basis of the TR5 to develop a new model. The design was entrusted to Karmann, who conceived a more angular line, in the continuity of the TR4 and TR5, but updated with an assertive style. With its classic lines, the TR6 retained tried-and-tested technical solutions. The interior is little changed from its predecessors, but the TR6 boasts improved performance thanks to the adoption of an independent rear axle and Lucas fuel injection, enabling the engine to deliver 150 horsepower. This European version of the Triumph TR6 was first registered in 1973. Originally fitted with Lucas fuel injection (still present today), it delivers the 150 hp specified in the technical data sheet. The vehicle has undergone a complete restoration in recent years, as evidenced by an extensive photographic file (file available on request). This Triumph TR6 represents a rare opportunity to acquire an emblematic Triumph model in its original configuration, with its fuel-injected engine and presentation faithful to the spirit of British roadsters of the 1960s. Meticulously restored, it is now in beautiful condition, ready to be enjoyed both on the road and as a collector's item. The car is sold without technical inspection. 1973 TRIUMPH TR6 PI Number CR2524L0 - Recently restored - Desirable PI version: the most powerful TR6!
