1980 Ferrari 308 GTB Carter Sec - Lot 67
1980 Ferrari 308 GTB Carter Sec - No reserve - Chassis n° 30731 - French origin: delivered new to Pozzi - Carter Sec version: the most powerful of the 308s - Elegant color combination - Extensive recent mechanical work - French registration The 308 GTB we offer was registered in 1980, before the switch to K-Jetronic fuel injection. Still powered by 4 horizontally-positioned Weber twinjets, it was one of the last 308s to develop 255 hp, while later GTBi and Quattrovalvole models developed only 214 and 240 hp respectively. Decked out in discreet Argento to match the black interior, this berlinette offers a rare and elegant configuration in contrast to the more common Rosso Corsa. Delivered new by Charles Pozzi in March 1980 to a Paris-area enthusiast who kept it until 1989. In 1990, it was acquired from a Paris dealer by an enthusiast from the Vienne region. He kept it for 27 years before selling it to a collector from Auvergne through our company. The latter sold it to its current owner in 2021. Since then, it has undergone extensive mechanical work by specialist Dino Sport for over 30,000 euros! The results are there for all to see, and today the car is in good working order. The engine and gearbox make a major contribution to driving pleasure. ERRATA: The left rear crossmember was damaged in a collision under unknown circumstances and will have to be replaced. The underside is original and has therefore stood the test of time. 1980 Ferrari 308 GTB Dry Sump - No reserve - Chassis no. 30731 - French origin: delivered new to Pozzi - Dry Sump version: the most powerful of the 308s - Very elegant color combination - Numerous recent mechanical works - French registration document The 308 GTB that we are offering was registered in 1980, before the switch to K-Jetronic injection.
