1972 NSU 1200 TT - Lot 63
1972 NSU 1200 TT
Serial number: 0621021698
French registration
Same owner since 1996
8 000 / 12 000
In 1965, the NSU Prinz 4 and Prinz 1000 welcomed the 1000 TT to their family. This was the first real vitaminized version of the German chip, with its 1085 cm3 engine and 55 hp, it could finally tease the Gordinis on twisty tracks!
But Renault presented the R8 Gordini 1300, to which NSU replied in 1967 with the NSU 1200 TT. Its 1177cm3 engine developed 65 horsepower! At the same time, however, NSU presented the TTS, a sort of ultimate version of the Prinz, extracting 70 hp from its tiny 996 cm3 engine to give all Fiat Abarths and Simca Rallyes a hard time in the sub-1000 cm3 category!
The NSU TT we're presenting today was first put on the road in 1972 and is presented in beautiful original condition, with a few modifications carried out by the owner, such as 4 aluminum rims, a smaller steering wheel and a set of Weber twin-barrel carburetors. However, all original parts have been retained.
This NSU is a great alternative to the Simca 100 rallye and R8 Gordini, and is just waiting for you to tackle the most beautiful roads in France.
