THE EMPEROR by order of Monsieur de Rémusat, First Chamberlain." 3 handwritten pages, signed by Biennais, Constant, valet to the Emperor and the Count of Rémusat, 1st Chamberlain. 36 x 24 cm. This invoice presents the supplies and repairs made over two months by Biennais from 16 September 1808 to 27 October 1808. Among the supplies of importance, we find the supply of elements for the Emperor's old necessities: penknife, vermeil toothbrush, beard brush, marzipan box, long liquorice box. The structure, the filling and the compartments are restored. The imperial bidet is also refurbished after its return "from the journey from Erfurt", the syringe of the bidet is changed for a new one, in silver and vermeil. History: If the history of the great necessities and the bidets of the Emperor would be particularly complicated, that of the gold swords of the Emperor can be summarized summarily: - The Emperor owned the sword of Austerlitz which he never left, with a blade engraved with commemorative inscriptions. He kept it until St. Helena. It was placed on his coffin in 1840 and is still in the Army Museum - Two gold swords were given in Erfurt by Emperor Napoleon I to Tsar Alexander I and Grand Duke Con
