New guide for mayors, deputies and police...
New guide for mayors, deputies and police commissioners. In Paris, at Léopold-Collin's house, 1808. In-8, 418 pp. 418, blue cardboard bradel maroquined with long grain, threaded back with repeated golden diamond, double golden net framing the dishes, mention "to H.S.H. Monsignor the Prince Cambaceres Archi-Chancelier of the Empire" gilded on the upper plate and number "JC" gilded on the lower plate, exemplary at all margins, tiny hook at the lower headdress (contemporary binding). The third edition, "completely revised and considerably increased", of this alphabetical handbook may be attributed to a certain Bernese man who had published a Guide for Mayors and Deputies in 1800. Binding with the names and figure of Cambaceres (OHR, pl. n° 1374, iron n° 10 for the monogram, and iron n° 17 for the titulature, this second iron completed at the head of the letter "to").
