A CARTEL with an undulating shape, crafted in so-called “Boulle” marquetry of tortoiseshell and brass, adorned with gilded bronze rocaille motifs, a shattered seashell, and acanthus leaves, and resting on volute feet. The console is likely a later addition, made of wood painted to imitate tortoiseshell and cut brass, decorated with gilded bronze mascarons. Key and sun-shaped balance wheel.
