1963 CITROËN 2CV AZA - Lot 101
1963 CITROËN 2CV AZA Vehicle Registration: French classic car Serial Number: 1433568 • Completely rebuilt from the chassis up • Elegant design Introduced in March 1963, the Citroën 2CV AZA featured several technical and aesthetic improvements over previous versions, notably an optimized 425 cm³ two-cylinder engine and a modernized interior. This model marks a new stage in the evolution of the 2CV, with a finish suited for everyday use, prior to the introduction of later versions in the lineup. The car offered here was initially acquired as a restoration project. It then underwent a complete restoration, starting from the chassis. Mechanically, the 425 cm³ two-cylinder engine was rebuilt before being reinstalled. The restoration also required the use of as many new parts as possible, most of which were sourced from the Méhari Club Cassis. All work was carried out under the supervision of our collector’s personal mechanic. Upon completion of this restoration in 2017, the car became part of a private collection and a personal museum. Since then, it has been stored indoors and driven sparingly to preserve its condition. Today, the overall condition of this Citroën 2CV AZA reflects the care taken during its restoration and the attention it has received since it joined the collection. 1963 CITROËN 2CV AZA Vehicle registration document: French classic car registration Chassis number: 1433568 • Fully restored from the chassis up • Elegant configuration Launched in March 1963, the Citroën 2CV AZA featured several technical and aesthetic improvements over previous versions, notably an optimized 425 cm³ twin-cylinder engine and a modernized interior.
