CREED - Lot 186
CREED Navy blue wool jacket, notched collar, single breasted, four patch pockets. Presumed size 40 (very good condition) Note: The English Creed family, renowned for its perfumes, was originally a family of tailors from the 18th century. In the 19th century, Henry Creed moved the London workshop to Paris, 25 rue de la Paix. From there, he worked for the great European courts in collaboration with the Harris Co tailors, notably for Queen Victoria. To scent the clothes of this aristocratic clientele, the company developed its first fragrances. This tailoring tradition continued until the 1970s, when Olivier Creed took over the management of the company before definitively ceasing to make clothes. These jackets bear witness to the brand's last years of couture production. Olivier Creed, guardian of the Maison Creed's extraordinary heritage, passed away on May 20, 2026.
