TABRIZ Mid 20th century, circa 1940/50. Lambswool velvet on cotton foundation. Density approx. 7,000 knots per dm2 . Beige field decorated with a mosaic of flowers, decorated with a thousand stylized diamond-shaped flowers surrounded by fine stems and very fine crenellated branches twisted into rows and terminated with bulbs and palmettes of aged flowers in gold, sky blue and golden yellow. Five borders, the main one pale green, with semis of stylized cypresses in the shape of diamond points, surrounded by finely drawn flowers and foliage. 510 x 350 cm. (Good condition.)
