MURAT (JOACHIM). - Lot 160
MURAT (JOACHIM). Letter signed "Joachim Napoléon" [to General Jacques-David-Martin Campredon, chief of engineers in his army]. Naples, December 20 [1810]. 2/3 p. in-4, on a bifeuillet of wove paper gilt on edges. "I am sending you a report that was sent to my Minister of the Interior [Giuseppe Zurlo] by the intendant of the Land of Labor [Giuseppe di Thomasis, intendant of the province known as Terra di Lavoro, whose capital was Aversa, immediately north of Naples]. You will see that the syndic of ITRI [near Gaeta] offers, on behalf of the inhabitants of this town, all the labor, stones, wood and other items necessary for the CONSTRUCTION OF THE FOUNTAIN. This resource will greatly reduce expenses..." On General Campredon, see no. 134 above.
