In 1792, after the states of the Margraves were united with the Kingdom of Prussia, the Brandenburg Order was assimilated into the Prussian Orders by King Frederick William II. Napoleon sent the Grand Eagle of the Legion of Honor to the King of Prussia (March 21, 1805), and he was decorated with the Black Eagle and Red Eagle on April 7, 1805. Numerous French dignitaries were admitted to these Orders on this occasion, including Murat, Cambacérès, Berthier, Talleyrand, Bernadotte and Duroc. Of the Emperor's brothers, only Princes Louis and Jérôme received the Prussian Orders, on February 21 and September 27 1810 respectively.
