1969 Chevrolet Corvette C3 - Lot 75
1969 Chevrolet Corvette C3 Collector's Registration Certificate VIN: 194379S734295 - Matching numbers with significant reliability upgrades - Over €78,000 invested since 2007 - Tremec 5-speed transmission and modern usage The vehicle offered for sale was imported from the United States before being purchased by its current owner in 2018 from a professional dealer. Now registered as a collector’s vehicle, this Corvette has benefited from consistent maintenance and significant investment. The engine block is matching numbers, while the cylinder heads were reportedly replaced during the vehicle’s lifetime. Prior to importation, the original carburetor was replaced with a Summit model, and the cast-iron manifolds were swapped for stainless steel ones, along with a complete stainless steel exhaust system. The original power steering is still in place, and the starter motor and flywheel were replaced by the importer. Since 2018, this Corvette has undergone a major restoration program. The overall appearance has been updated with a full yellow paint job—the car was originally white—along with the replacement of numerous trim components such as the interior seals, taillight covers, and the fuel filler cap emblem. The windshield has also been replaced, and the windshield frame has been restored. Mechanically, the differential and limited-slip differential have been serviced; the engine and front-end bushings, rear bearings, and new wiring and tire sets have been replaced; it features electronic ignition, an Optima battery, a serviced parking brake, and O-Ring brake calipers. All dashboard instruments are functional, with the exception of the clock. Notably, the vehicle features a 5-speed Tremec TKX transmission, which is significantly smoother to use than the original 4-speed. The original 4-speed transmission has been retained and is included with its driveshaft. Cooling has been optimized with an aluminum radiator and an adjustable electric fan, while braking has been significantly improved by adding a Mastervac system and an EBC kit featuring drilled and slotted rotors, high-performance pads, and aviation-grade hoses. Four Bilstein shocks complete this cohesive package designed to make the car more efficient and smoother to drive. This Corvette also underwent a major front-end restoration following a collision during a drive. The work, carried out by Lady Art Car (video of the work available on YouTube), consisted of the complete replacement of the front fascia, the bumper and its mounts, the grilles, headlight mechanisms, and optics, with systematic replacement of symmetrical components where necessary. All work was performed by recognized specialists, notably Classic Affairs in Bourron-Marlotte and Lady Art Car in Moissy-Cramayel. A detailed report tracing the history of work performed since 2007 is available upon request, showing that over €78,000 has been invested in this Corvette. Finally, as part of its preparation for sale, this Corvette underwent additional work costing nearly €700 to correct defects identified during its first technical inspection. Today, this C3 is a Corvette designed for regular use, while retaining the raw and iconic character of the great American sports cars of the late 1960s. 1969 Chevrolet Corvette C3 Collector’s Registration VIN: 194379S734295 - Matching numbers with significant reliability upgrades - Over €78,000 invested since 2007 - Tremec 5-speed transmission and modern usage The vehicle offered for sale was imported from the United States before being purchased by its current owner in 2018 from a professional dealer.
