1991 MAZDA MX-5 - Lot 62
1991 MAZDA MX-5
- French registration
- Chassis N° JMZNA18B200113982
- Rare resin Hard Top option
- Classic Red
It's hardly surprising that over a million motorists have succumbed to its charms since the launch of the first generation. In many ways, the Mazda MX-5 follows in the footsteps of the iconic British roadsters of the 1960s. Its elegant, seductive lines, low driving position and the sensations it delivers make it a true tribute to this spirit. On winding roads, the precision of its steering, the accuracy of its gearbox and the efficiency of its braking system all contribute to incomparable driving pleasure. Powered solely by its rear wheels, it also reveals a playful, dynamic temperament. In urban environments, despite a slightly firm clutch, the MX-5 is at ease thanks to its tight turning radius and easy manoeuvrability.
The model on offer, an NA, was purchased by its current and fifth owner in 2020. Powered by a 115 hp, four-cylinder, 1598 cm3, sixteen-valve, DOHC engine. In the hands of its owner for 16 years, this MX5 has since been meticulously maintained. Its bodywork was repainted in 2023 in its original Classic Red hue. The car has an original Momo steering wheel, a sign of its import by a Belgian dealer. Today, it has covered just over 161,000 km.
Although widely available, MX NAs in good condition are rare these days, their undeniable reputation for reliability making them particularly desirable roadsters.
