KTM - Lot 11
KTM Road racing Without reserve Serial number 54 30 003 010 To be restarted The KTM brand was born in 1934 in a small metal workshop founded by Hans Trunkenpolz. Its factories were established in Mattighofen and Salzburg. Today, the company is world-renowned for its motorcycles and sports vehicles, but it began modestly as a simple locksmith's shop. As early as 1937, it expanded its activities to include motorcycle and car repairs, before embarking on the design of its own machines. In 1951, KTM presented its first motorcycle, the R 100, powered by a Rotax engine. Three years later, in 1954, the brand made a name for itself by winning the Austrian championship in the 125 cm³ class, marking the start of a long tradition of competition. The bike presented here is in its original, unrestored condition. On display in its private museum, the bike has been immobile for several years. It needs to be restarted.
