1954 Zundapp Bella 200 cc Chassis: R50135 Collector's registration - Original Steib sidecar: Authentic German carriage - Specialist restoration: By Dr. Kloppmann of the BellaMuseum - One of the very first Bella carriages: Rare and historic piece In the post-war motorcycling landscape, the Zündapp Bella established itself as one of the most elegant and robust alternatives to the mythical Vespa. Produced in Germany from 1953 onwards, it combined comfort, stability and exemplary finish - typically German qualities - to appeal to a demanding clientele. Equipped with a 200 cm³ 2-stroke single-cylinder engine, the Bella combines smooth power and ease of maintenance, all in a fluid, highly accomplished design for its time. The model we're offering today is distinguished by its rare original Steib towbar, fitted from the outset and fully compliant with the configuration of the first towed models. This is one of the very first Bella hitched models ever built, making it both rare and sought-after. But that's not all: the complete restoration was entrusted to Dr. Manfred Kloppmann, eminent Bella specialist and founder of the BellaMuseum in Germany. The Steib sidecar, now highly sought-after, is authentic here, further enhancing the heritage value of the whole.
