1939 Renault Primaquatre Sport Cabriolet BDS2 - Lot 27
1939 Renault Primaquatre Sport Cabriolet BDS2 - Chassis number: 965896 - Rare model - Renault Classic factory sheet and certificate - French registration - No reserve The new Renault Primaquatre model was introduced in the spring of 1931. Until its release, the 4-cylinder range was limited to a single model. The Primaquatre was also the first in the range to bear a proper name. In 1939, the Primaquatre Sport BDS2 appeared, with the aim of rejuvenating the brand's image. The model on offer is a rare BDS2 "Convertible". Launched on July 20, 1939, it was one of the last convertibles produced before the outbreak of the Second World War. We lost track of it until the mid-1980s. It was then acquired by an enthusiast in Finistère, who registered it in 1989 under the number 1940 VV 29. Visibly restored in the 1990s, it was acquired by its current owner (a Renault engineer) in 2011. He managed to obtain the factory registration and a Renault Classic certificate. Today, the car is in generally good condition. Not having been driven since the death of its owner last year, it needs to be put back on the road. 1939 Renault Primaquatre Sport Cabriolet BDS2 - Chassis: 965896 - Rare model - Factory data sheet and Renault Classic certificate - French registration document The new Renault Primaquatre model was presented in the spring of 1931.
