1932 Hotchkiss AM2 - Lot 23
1932 Hotchkiss AM2 - Chassis: 6211 - Cabourg bodywork - Dutch registration document - Unreserved Originally a manufacturer of arms and ammunition, Hotchkiss represented France in the construction of quality cars from 1904 to 1955. The cross-barreled brand is renowned for the robustness and reliability of its mechanicals. After the Great War, Hotchkiss adopted a slogan that would never leave the brand and has become the unforgettable symbol of the brand: "Hotchkiss, la marque du juste milieu". In a very short time, Hotchkiss became a benchmark brand in its field, being neither too small nor too big a car. Above all, the brand's middle-class clientele appreciated the quality, comfort and discretion of Hotchkiss cars. The AM2 replaces the AM model with a new tumbled engine. Its 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine with side valves is powerful and well-balanced. It develops 56 hp and is coupled to a 4-speed gearbox. Our Cabourg sedan has been in the same family since 1981. It took part in the Paris Monte Carlo Rally, the Etains de Paris and the Hotchkiss Jubilee 1932-1982. Today, the car is in fair condition, with a beautiful patina. As it has not been driven since the death of its owner, it needs to be put back on the road. 1932 Hotchkiss AM2 - Chassis: 6211 - Cabourg bodywork - Dutch registration certificate Originally a manufacturer of arms and munitions, the Hotchkiss company proudly represented France in the construction of quality cars from 1904 to 1955.
