French registration 49cc - single-cylinder - 4-stroke - 3 semi-automatic gears Manufactured in September 1976, vintage 1977 Frame number: Z50A-6204106 Kick-started and ready for the road The Honda Monkey is a mini-motorcycle from Japanese manufacturer Honda, born in 1961 as the Z100 type, powered by a 49 cm3 single-cylinder 4-stroke engine. In 1974, Honda released the first Z50 J, also known as the Z50 J1. It received a new frame, with a swingarm and two mechanical shock absorbers, and a different seat and fuel tank. The engine is still the same (three-speed semi-automatic gearbox). This model is also extremely rare in France, as J2s are much more common.
