STYLE OF THE MANUFACTURE DE LA SAVONNERIE Exceptional and important wool velvet point carpet on cotton backing, decorated with a very large central medallion with a crown of stylized flowers and foliage in pastel tones, framed by four cartouches with the coat of arms of France and surrounded by reserves and double medallions with stylized landscapes. The four spandrels are decorated with crenellated branches, acanthus foliage with fleur-de-lis terminations in the form of horns of plenty, and polychrome garlands of flowers and swags.
