This famous portrait of the 22-year-old sovereign was printed on two sheets, with the portrait itself cut to an oval and pasted onto another sheet bearing the frame.
A rare proof with the blue and gold printed frame, a copy of which is in the possession of all the major museums: Musée de Versailles, Musée du Louvre (Ancienne collection Edmond de Rothschild), Victoria and Albert Museum, British Museum etc....
