He began building his first aircraft in 1910 and founded his own company in 1922. With technical performance as his obsession, his factories produced emblematic models such as the Heinkel HE 70 "Blitz", powered by a 750hp BMW IV V12 and later by a Rolls Royce engine, rapidly becoming the world's fastest commercial aircraft.
