1958 MANURHIN - Lot 41
1958 MANURHIN Scooter type Serial number: 17741 Engine N° 19994 50 cm3 engine French registration 800 / 1 500 € In 1956, Manufacture du Haut Rhin presents the MR75, a replica of the German DKW HOBBY model. At the 1957 Motor Show, MANURHIN slightly improves its scooter. In 1958, the German firm DKW gave MANURHIN exclusive rights to the HOBBY model. Although a latecomer to the market, MANURHIN made an honest mark thanks to its maneuverability, roadholding and silence. This strange name comes from the abbreviation of "Manufacture des machines du Haut Rhin" where it is assembled (at the Mulhouse-Bourtwiller plant). The Manurhin presented itself on the French market as an unusual machine, thanks to its ease of operation and minimal maintenance, at a price that defied all competition (100,000 F at the time). Early versions featured a clutch lever used only for starting and stopping. Later, it became fully automatic, the integral Beltomatic. Thanks to its large 16-inch wheels, it offers impeccable roadholding. We recommend that future purchasers carry out the usual restarts required to keep these machines in the collector's museum. We recommend that future purchasers carry out the customary restarts required by the immobilization of these machines in the collector's museum. 1958 MANURHIN Scooter type Serial number: 17741 Engine N° 19994 50 cm3 engine French registration 800 / 1 500 € In 1956, Manufacture du Haut Rhin presents the MR75, a replica of the German DKW HOBBY model.
