1955 MV AGUSTA - Lot 31
1955 MV AGUSTA Type Disco Volante Serial number: 405439 175 cm3 Collector's registration 6 000 / 8 000 € This emblematic "Disco Volante" was first registered in Italy in 1955 and delivered by MV Agusta dealer Mario Cibour in Cremona. Around 1980, the MV was sold to a German enthusiast and member of the MV Agusta Club of Germany, who undertook a cosmetic restoration. The previous owner, also a member of the Club, bought the bike from him in 1992 and undertook a mechanical restoration. Valve guides and seats were replaced, a new camshaft was fitted, and the gearbox received a new second gear. All bearings and flat seals, O-rings and rubber parts were changed, chain and sprockets replaced, brakes relined and front and rear suspension components completely overhauled. The Radelli saddle is original and unrestored. The previous owner rode this machine at various MV Club events, including Croix en Ternois and Spa Francorchamps. Its last track appearance was at Spa in 2003, during the 1st "Bikers Classic". The bike is also entered in the MV Agusta Registro Storico (number 018) run by the MV Agusta Museum in Gallarate (Enrico Sironi) and Presso Ricamificio DAMA srl Gallarate. We recommend that future purchasers carry out the customary restarts due to the immobilization of these machines in the collector's museum.
