1755. Decorated with her portrait, and written on several manuscripts in her hand. Seconde partie. De l'an de la liberté française 1789....Versailles, La Montensier, s.d. 2 parts in 1 vol. small in-12 contemporary basane, smooth spine decorated in the grotesque style (worn binding, some restorations, slight brown spots). Repeated portrait of the Queen in frontispiece and 6 figures out of text. Poor quality printing. This pamphlet, which has also been attributed to the pen of Brissot (notably by the Bibliophile Jacob, but without plausibility), belongs to the register of pieces that stigmatize or point out the supposed immorality of the Queen, the new Messalina, and her various excesses. Based on a lost original, destroyed around 1783, the editions are so numerous and varied as to discourage the efforts of bibliographers seeking to grasp its complexity. Cf. I. Gay II, 169-70.
