1987 PORSCHE 928 S4 Serial number WPOJB0921HS861657 320 hp Very well equipped Very rare Cassis Red color Collector's registration No reserve The Porsche 928 occupies a special place in the hearts of sports car enthusiasts. This front-engined GT coupé combined high performance with the comfort required for long-distance driving. The Porsche 928 made its debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March 1977. Everything about it was astonishing, starting with its flying saucer look, its 4.5-liter V8 and its performance. The interior is innovative, starting with the adjustable instrument cluster attached to the steering column. At last, the steering wheel can be lowered without the speedometer being obscured by the steering wheel rim. From the very first tests, the press was so enthusiastic that the following year, the Porsche 928 was voted Car of the Year 1978. This is the only time a GT has ever been voted Car of the Year. By 1979, the oil crises were long gone, and Porsche was at last responding to a popular demand: to give more power to a GT that lacked it, so that its chassis could show off its full potential. The successor to the Porsche 928 S, the 928 S4 appeared in 1986 with the first restyling since the launch of the 928. Under the long front hood, the big V8 continued to beat out the pace, gaining a handful of horsepower for the occasion. Now freed from its role as 911 killer, the Porsche 928 will be able to finish its career without suffering from the "anti-engine front". Having found its own clientele at the top of the Porsche range, the 928 S4 is still one of the brand's most formidable GTs. A segment benchmark for almost 20 years, the 928 was even used as a model by Mercedes in the development of the SL R129. Delivered in 1987 in the United States, this Porsche 928 S4 is very well equipped. Options include a limited-slip differential, sunroof and Blaukpunt audio system. The color combination chosen: Casis Red for the exterior and Burgundy for the interior makes this a very exclusive car. Always in the hands of brand collectors in the USA, this beautiful 928 S4 was imported to France in the 2010s. Its current owner, eager to show off his beautiful car, undertook a number of repairs, including a new paint job, a leather overhaul and a mechanical overhaul. With around 220,000 km on the odometer, this 928 is in good overall condition. 1987 PORSCHE 928 S4 Serial number WPOJB0921HS861657 320 hp Very well equipped Very rare Cassis Red color Collector's registration No reserve The Porsche 928 occupies a special place in the hearts of sports car enthusiasts.
