1983 Porsche 911 Type 930 Turbo 3.3 - Lot 67
1983 Porsche 911 Type 930 Turbo 3.3 Serial number WPOZZZ93ZDS000656 - 135,000 kilometers - Few factory options, including Turbo S equipment - French registration A true icon, the Porsche 930 Turbo represents an entire era, with a record 12 years in the Stuttgart company's catalog. Introduced in 1975 with a 3.0L engine, the 930 Turbo was quickly upgraded to meet public demand, with displacement increased to 3.3L for 300 hp. Thanks to this displacement, boosted by a larger KKK turbo and a new air/air intercooler, the 930 entered the closed circle of supercars with exceptional performance. It even earned the title of "production car with the best acceleration in the world", capable of swallowing 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 5.4 seconds and keeping up the momentum until the speedometer's needle reached 260. All this earned it a reputation as a sultry, virile car. Driving it requires a certain amount of care, as the ON/OFF effect of the Turbo is still present. This Porsche 911 type 930 Turbo 3.3 rolled off the production line on April 28, 1983. It was sold new in Germany to Mr. Karl-Heinz Orstein. Painted in black (code A1) and equipped with full black leather interior with perforated seat cushions (VD), it featured a number of rare options: 2-point seat belts, rear, manual (186); self-locking differential (220); electrically adjustable and heated exterior passenger mirror (261); Symphony RDS cassette radio (327); black headlining (469); air conditioning (559)... Above all, it was fitted at the factory with a front bumper with central oil cooler, rocker panel covers and rear fender air inlets. It was then serviced by the Direkthändler Porsche dealership in Koblenz until reaching its 54,842 kilometers in 1985. It was then imported into France under the registration number 930 SM 03, and from 1995 onwards was serviced by First Automobiles in Colmar, reaching 87,654 kilometers. In 1998, it passed the 100,000 kilometer mark and was serviced by a specialist in Yzeure. It then moved to the Sedan area where, between 2014 and 2015, it underwent a major overhaul, with partial engine rebuild, brake overhaul and body details. In 2017, almost 23,000 euros will be spent at the Centre Porsche Vélizy. Many new small aesthetic elements are installed, such as a Porsche Classic car radio. A dyno run is then carried out, showing that the car has lost none of its fire, with 308 hp and 468 nm measured. Reasonably kilometric, with a rare configuration and sought-after options, this Porsche 930 Turbo is the archetypal sports car of the 80s. 1983 Porsche 911 Type 930 Turbo 3.3 Serial number WPOZZZ93ZDS000656 -135,000 kilometres - Very limited factory options, including Turbo S equipment - French registration A true icon, the Porsche 930 Turbo represents an entire era, with a record 12 years in the Stuttgart firm's catalog.
