1970 CITROEN SM CHASSIS n° SB0761 - One of the very 1st - Rare shade of tropical green - Engine replaced in 2022 - Collector's registration The Citroën SM was launched in March 1970. It is powered by a 2,670 cm3 90° V6 engine with three Weber twin-barrel carburetors and 170 hp DIN. Torque is 23.5 mkg at 4,000 rpm. The two-overhead camshafts per row of cylinders were developed directly by Maserati's Alfieri engineer under the direction of the design office on rue du Théâtre, in the Quai de Javel district of Paris. Our SM is the 761st to be built, so it's a carbureted version. Presented in the beautiful shade Bleu des tropiques, this SM has been mechanically overhauled in recent years. In 2015, the spheres were rebuilt and the clutch replaced. In 2021, following an engine failure, another engine rebuilt by specialist SM2A was installed. The HP pump was replaced, the brakes overhauled, as was the electrical circuit. The paintwork had been redone in 2014. However, following a parking accident, the left-hand side of the body needs to be reworked.
