1950 CITROEN TRACTION 15/6 Without reserve Serial... - Lot 41 - Osenat
1950 CITROEN TRACTION 15/6 Without reserve Serial number : 697945 Flat trunk version desirable FIVA card French registration When it was launched in 1934, the Citroën "Traction Avant" marked a turning point in the automotive world. The car's distinctive technical features included: monocoque bodywork, four independent wheels, lined engine, extraordinary roadholding, low-slung, aerodynamic lines and front-wheel drive with hydraulic brakes. In short, all the competition was light-years away! Throughout its career, the Traction never ceased to evolve, but always retained its original appearance. The Traction has existed in several versions and body styles. Early models were powered by a 7 hp four-cylinder engine, which evolved into an 11 hp unit. The top-of-the-range model was then powered by a six-cylinder 15HP engine. The Traction 15/6 was born. Available body styles included coupé, cabriolet, sedan, limousine and commercial. Acquired in 2002, the model presented here is in one of its best-known color combinations: black paint and pale yellow wheels. The bodywork is in good condition, thanks to a high-quality restoration. The interior is also in good condition. Mechanically, as with the other cars in the collection, it was stopped in 2020 and will need to be restarted. 1950 CITROEN TRACTION 15/6 No reserve Serial number: 697945 Flat-trunk version desirable FIVA card French registration When it was launched in 1934, the Citroën Traction Avant marked a turning point in the world of motoring.
