1964 Alfa Romeo Giulia 1300 Sprint coupé... - Lot 63 - Osenat
1964 Alfa Romeo Giulia 1300 Sprint coupé Chassis n°AR384037 - One of the last Giulietta models to leave the factory - Timeless lines - High-quality total restoration - Ideal for historic drives and rallies Introduced in April 1954, the Giulietta coupé ushered in a new era for Alfa Romeo in terms of design and motorization. Elegantly designed by Franco Scaglione, chief stylist at Bertone, assisted by Mario Boano, then at Ghia, its sleek lines, agility and high performance (160 km/h claimed at the time) quickly earned it considerable success. From 1962, the Giulietta was replaced by the Giulia, with its more powerful 1,600 cm3 engine. The Giulia retained the same body lines, but gained a new interior with a new dashboard. The 1,300 version was discontinued in 1965. The car we present is one of the last Giulietta Sprint 1300 coupés to leave the Alfa Romeo factory, before production of the model ceased in 1965. Completely restored by its previous owner, the car is offered for sale in remarkable condition. Equipped with a 5-speed gearbox and front disc brakes, it offers a driving experience ideal for historic regularity events. The interior, upholstered in black leather with red stitching, is in perfect condition, with the Giulia dashboard typical of the last Giulietta models built between 1964 and 1965. During our test drive, the car, in excellent mechanical condition, showed no sign of failing, and let us enjoy the bewitching melody of its 4-cylinder engine. The gearbox works well, providing a smooth, pleasant ride on secondary roads. The car is accompanied by its appraisal file, which we will make available to anyone interested. This model is a great opportunity to treat yourself to one of the finest coupés from the brand's golden age! 1964 Alfa Romeo Giulietta 1300 Sprint coupé Chassis no.
