Revolutionary light cavalry officer's saber.
Brass mounting. Handle covered with leather with filigree. Cap with long tail. Guard with one branch and two shuttle-like pommels. Curved quillon, curved towards the point. Curved blade with flat back, gutter, counter-edge and hollow sides, engraved "Vaincre ou mourir" on both sides. Brass scabbard with one leather hollow, two large cut-out, line-engraved fittings and two serrated splints. Iron sting.
