Officer's saber of light cavalry Savoy or Italy.
Iron mounting. Blackened wood handle finely squared, decorated with two oval pieces. Guard with one branch, two baguette-like auricles and flattened quillon curved towards the tip. Beautiful curved blade with round back, counter-edge, gutter and hollow sides, engraved, gilded and blued in thirds with trophies, foliage, columns and laurel branches. Scabbard with two studs, two rings and iron sting.
