1975 Citroën ID 20 F Estate Confort Serial... - Lot 57 - Osenat
1975 Citroën ID 20 F Estate Confort Serial number 8414657 One of the last DS/ID manufactured Family version "Confort" 7 seats French registration 30 000 / 33 000 € The DS station wagon is the result of 2 years of research aiming to offer customers a versatile vehicle, both practical for craftsmen, accommodating for families and keeping all the technical features of the DS sedans. This concept in 57, very popular in the USA, was represented in France only by the Simca Marly station wagon. In September 1958 several prototypes of the DS station wagon were ready. The design office still seems to be hesitating on many points of detail. Citroën's management prefers to wait until September 1959 for the official launch of the DS estate. From October 1958, customers could already order their DS estate in three finishes: "family", "estate" (later renamed "luxury") and "commercial". The "comfort" finish does not exist yet and the "ambulance" version is not finished, the price is not yet defined. It is interesting to note that the delivery time was 6 months. The advertisement stated: "The DS Estate has the same power, the same comfort, the same impeccable and devouring glide on the main roads as all DS. It also offers the same sumptuous calm, the same ease for the passengers. In the estate car there is no discomfort, the space is wide, the comfort without pettiness. Life is peaceful". There were different interior layouts for the station wagons: - Commercial: front bench seat and folding rear bench seat giving a floor space of 2 meters in length. - Estate Luxury: front bench seat, folding rear bench seat and 2 folding seats in the trunk. - Comfort Estate: 2 separate front seats, fixed rear bench (until 1963) and 2 staggered folding seats in the boot. - Familiales Luxe and Confort : 3-seat front bench (row 1), 3 folding folding seats (row 2) and 2-seat fixed bench (row 3). This Citroën ID 20 F Break was registered on June 5, 1975 when the ID and the D Super 5 disappeared in favor of the brand new CX. It is therefore one of the last DS cars produced. Painted in lagoon blue and borely ivory, it is a Comfort version with 2 separate seats in the front and a folding rear bench and 2 jump seats in the trunk. The history of its registrations allows to go back to 2000, it was then registered 75 CPF 95. It then joined the Seine et Marne in 2009. This rare ID 20 F is in very good condition, both for its bodywork and its interior. The file of maintenance invoices will be given to the buyer. 1975 Citroën ID 20 F Estate Confort Serial number 8414657 One of the last DS/ID produced 7-seater "Confort" wagon version French registration 30 000 / 33 000 € The DS station wagon is the result of 2 years of research aimed at offering customers a multi-purpose vehicle that is both practical for craftsmen, comfortable for families and retains all the technical features of the DS saloon.
