1930 MG M Serial number M102G Rare on our... - Lot 43 - Osenat
1930 MG M Serial number M102G Rare on our roads French registration 28 000 / 30 000 Produced from 1929 to 1932 by Morris Garage, the MG M is the first Midget of the English brand. Only 3235 examples of this car were produced and only 350 remain in the world. It is therefore a rare collector's item and certainly even more so in France, since only two are on the territory. This car, which weighs only 508 kg, has a 4-cylinder engine of 847 cm3 coupled to a 3-speed gearbox; a 4-speed gearbox was offered as an option from 1930. It is a wooden body dressed with a synthetic fabric, the wings and the hood are painted. Its 27 hp provide real sensations at the wheel, propelling it to 80 km/h. This is an extremely rare model that will have left its mark. The model we are presenting was first registered in 1930, so it benefits from the improvements proposed by MG such as cross cable brakes, an increase in power, work on the bodywork and on the windows. The canvas body combined economy and lightness with a nice design. The trunk fitted in the tip is not negligible, but the spare wheel takes up almost 50% of it. The lid is used to store the hood and the roll bars. The small engine derived from the Morris is powered by a single SU carburetor, the interior and the hood is in good condition without tears. A true pioneer, the MG M still shows that you can have a lot of fun and feel real driving sensations with about 20 horses. 1930 MG M Serial number M102G Rare on our roads French registration 28 000 / 30 000 Produced from 1929 to 1932 by Morris Garage, the MG M is the first Midget of the British brand.
