1971 Citroën M35 French registration Serial... - Lot 59 - Osenat
1971 Citroën M35 French registration Serial number 00EA0410 Same owner for 45 years Following agreements with German manufacturer NSU, Citroën began developing models with rotary piston engines. The first car launched on the market was the Citroën M35. This experimental project was limited to 500 units. The car was sold to customers with a taste for technical novelties, who agreed to drive it for personal use, with a guarantee of at least 60,000 km per year. The experiment proved a failure, however, and was discontinued before the target of 500 cars had been reached. Citroën then took back most of the M35s produced from customers for destruction. Only 267 examples were built, and fewer than forty have survived. The example we are offering for sale was leased by a Citroën tester from the current owner, a Citroën dealer. At the end of his contract, the tester bought the car back from Citroën. After having used it a little, it was taken back by the dealer. The current owner has kept it ever since for his own personal use. The car is in very good condition, the mechanics are in perfect working order, and it has always been well maintained. 1971 Citroën M35 French registration Serial number 00EA0410 Same owner for 45 years Following agreements with German manufacturer NSU, Citroën began developing models with rotary piston engines.
