1958 JAGUAR XK150 3,4L OTS Series: S830161 Collector's... - Lot 40 - Osenat
1958 JAGUAR XK150 3,4L OTS Series: S830161 Collector's registration The last of the XK generation, the 150 was launched in 1957 after the 120 and 140. Modernized, redesigned and more imposing, it is easily recognizable from its two big sisters thanks to its panoramic windshield and less baroque body lines. As an innovation, the car is offered with two engines: a 6-cylinder 3.4L that has proved its worth in competition under the hood of Type-C and Type-D cars, and a new, more powerful 3.8L engine, both of which are available in an "S" version with 3 SU carburetors. Available in 3 body styles like its two predecessors, the 150 is an example of automotive beauty, offering a large number of lucky customers a real sporting experience in a particularly luxurious, well-built car. Replaced in the early 1960s by the legendary Type-E model, the XK range remains a benchmark among collectors, with driving pleasure still intact 70 years on. The model we present is a 3.4L roadster in an elegant British Racing Green configuration, with havana leather. In beautiful condition, this car was restored a few years ago just before the death of its owner, and since then, the car has been driven very little. The test drive revealed a pleasant car, with good braking and a quick start. 1958 JAGUAR XK150 3.4L OTS Serial number : S830161 Collector's registration The last of the XK generation, the 150 was launched in 1957 after the 120 and 140.
