1962 FACEL VEGA FACELLIA Series: F2B/457A French... - Lot 39 - Osenat
1962 FACEL VEGA FACELLIA Series: F2B/457A French registration The idea of expanding the Facel range was born in 1957 with the creation of the Facellia. This Facel is identical in design to the V8s: tubular chassis and welded steel hull, independent front suspension, rigid rear axle, high quality finishes... But in "European" proportions, unlike its much more "American" predecessors. Presented in Paris in 1959 and sponsored by Stirling Moss, the Facellia is a true Facel-Vega, its 1.6-liter engine developing 115 hp at 6,400 rpm and delivering good performance. Replaced in 1963 by the Facel III, only 1,045 Facellias were produced, including 614 convertibles. The example we are offering for sale was acquired in very poor condition by its current owner in 2006. He then undertook a complete restoration, as evidenced by a file of photos and invoices, with everything from bodywork to upholstery revised. Today, the car is in very good condition, and the test drive revealed it to be sound and pleasant to drive. 1962 FACEL VEGA FACELLIA Serial number : F2B/457A French registration In 1957, the idea of extending the Facel range was born, with the creation of the Facellia.
