1982 Citroën 2CV 6 Hoffmann Carte grise française... - Lot 37 - Osenat
1982 Citroën 2CV 6 Hoffmann Carte grise française 4 places. 70KA8893 From the 1970s onwards, a number of craftsmen designed kits to open up the 2CV and transform it into a convertible. Among them, the model developed by Hoffmann Design since 1986. The Hoffmann 2 CV Cabriolet is a kit car based on the 2CV platform, from which it retains the original chassis and front bodywork. Wolfgang Hoffmann, a former German Citroën dealer, and his son Felix, developed the design and the first prototypes. The kit contains a plastic-reinforced fiberglass body element with steel frame that takes up the entire rear of the vehicle, plus two side windows, a soft top, the rear trunk door and all the necessary screws, bolts, hinges, etc. The example we are offering for sale was converted by the current owner in the 1980s. A former coachbuilder, he carried out the operation himself with great success. As the conversion was never registered with the prefecture, the car still has the 4-seat registration of a traditional 2cv. Today, 30 years later, the work has not changed and the car is in excellent condition. The test drive revealed a pleasant car with no major faults. 1982 Citroën 2CV 6 Hoffmann Carte grise française 4 places. 70KA8893 From the 1970s onwards, craftsmen designed kits to open the 2CV and transform it into a convertible.
