HUNGARIAN OFFICER'S SABER.
Calotte handle in vermeil
with floral decoration. Vermeil mounting, guard with two shuttle-shaped pommels and two leafy bolted quillons.
Remnant of a Damascus blade decorated in gold, broken at 22 cm from the heel. Scabbard covered in red velvet (worn) with gold braiding and three vermeil trimmings with foliate decoration on the obverse and plain and pearled on the reverse.
