1956 ASTON MARTIN DB2/4 MK2 Series LML1060 French... - Lot 75 - Osenat
1956 ASTON MARTIN DB2/4 MK2 Series LML1060 French registration Very High Level Complete Restoration 160 000 / 200 000 When Aston Martin came under the control of David Brown in 1947, the brand really began to develop, introducing new models: the DB1 in 1948, the DB2 in 1950 and the DB2/4 in 1953. With these models, Aston Martin finally scored its first Le Mans victories. The difference between the DB2/4 and the DB2 is that the DB2/4 can accommodate four people. Our example is a DB2/4 Mk II, 199 of which were produced between 1955 and 1957. It was launched in 1956 and is powered by a 6-cylinder, 2922 cm3, 142 hp engine. Covered in the magnificent Sea-Green Beige combination, the bodywork is beyond reproach. This DB2/4 was delivered new in France RHD to a certain Mme Nicole Lacombe residing in Paris on January 5, 1956 via the garage Majestic Automobile, the car was then registered 9803 EP 75. The order form indicates that it was black at the time, and that Alfin drum brakes were on the options list. We lost track of it until 1968, when it was acquired by an enthusiast from the Charente region. The car was then registered 66 CF 16. The current owner acquired it in 2006, when it bore the plate 9996 SR 33. It wasn't until 2011 that the car obtained its current registration number following a change of address. Mechanically, it's also in very good condition, as attested by its roadworthiness test dated 25/01/23. What's more, it has just 63,575 km on the odometer. 1956 ASTON MARTIN DB2/4 MK2 Series LML1060 French registration Complete restoration to a very high standard 160 000 / 200 000 When Aston Martin came under the control of David Brown in 1947, the brand really began to develop, introducing new models: the DB1 in 1948, the DB2 in 1950, and the DB2/4 in 1953.
