DUPLEIX, INTENDANT GENERAL OF THE TREASURY OF THE KINGDOM OF WESTPHALIA Wax seal in brass of Pierre Jacques DUPLEIX as intendant general of the treasury of the Kingdom of Westphalia, engraved with the great arms of Westphalia girded with the collars of the order of the Legion of Honor and the Crown of Westphalia, with legend on the circumference " GEN INTENDANZ D.STAATS SCHATZES ". 29 x 25 mm. Ht : 95 mm. B.E. First Empire period (circa 1810-1813). History : Pierre- Jacques DUPLEIX (1770-1852) was prefect of Pondicherry, Intendant General of the Treasury of the Kingdom of Westphalia from 1810 to 1813. Later, this former State Councillor was in charge of the Duke of Orleans' estate.
