"Knight of Tinteniac". Oval view drawing on bistre paper, in black pencil, representing the knight in bust. Under a mat with annotation "Le chevalier de Tinteniac tué à Coëtlogon en 1793" (actually killed in 1795). Under glass. Frame in pitchpin. 21 x 17 cm 19th century Biography : Vincent de Tinténiac (1764-1795) was a French general who distinguished himself during the Chouannerie and is known as the "Chevalier de Tinténiac" and his nickname "Le loup blanc". He was the son of François-Hyacinthe de Tinténiac and Anne Antoinette de Kersulgen, and the brother of Hyacinthe de Tinténiac.
