1974 CITROEN
"The Citroën DS and its simplified version, the Citroën ID, were offered by the French manufacturer Citroën between 1955 and 1975. First as a saloon, then as a station wagon and cabriolet, this car was packed with cutting-edge technology, the signature of the firm with the two chevrons. The initial "D" probably comes from the use of Citroën's most recent engine, the "D series engine", which already equipped its predecessor, the Traction 11 D, until July 1957. The ID and the DS used the same front-wheel drive principle for which Citroën was famous. However, the DS was fitted with a hydropneumatic suspension and a semi-automatic hydraulic gearbox. hydraulic gearbox. The steering was power-assisted and the brakes were aided by front discs. From 1971 onwards, DS cars were equipped with 3-speed automatic gearboxes. Finished in a nice elegant black, this DS 23 IE Pallas is in good general condition. The bodywork is free of rust. The interior features brown leather upholstery which adds a tan touch to the car. The engine, 2.3L, works well. We offer you the opportunity to acquire a French classic in its black and tan configuration with the most popular version: DS 23ie Pallas.
