SET OF FOUR THREE LIGHT ARMS PLAQUES in chased and gilded bronze of the Russian style by the House of Delisle. The glass plates, with a brown background, circled with a frieze of hearts topped with a large stylized palmette, support a basket from which three horns of plenty decorated with garlands escape, double scroll foliage to the amortization. Height : 50 cm Henry Delisle, Parisian bronze and iron worker, founded his company in 1895 with his brother Gaston. He graduated from the Ecole Boulle and won the grand prize for art drawing at the Brussels World Fair in 1897. At the beginning of the 20th century, the Delisle Frères company moved to the Hôtel de Lamoignon in the Marais. One of the first important projects of the Delisle company was the supply of chandeliers and lighting fixtures for the private mansion of Grand Duke Paul of Russia in Boulogne. This achievement opened prestigious orders throughout Europe. At a time when, in matters of taste, Paris set the tone for the entire world, the company's clients included illustrious foreign families: the British, such as the Duchess of Manchester, the Belgians, such as the Prince of Croÿ, the Austro-Hungarians, such as the Prince and Princess Kinsky, and even members of the Egyptian royal family, such as Prince Mohammed Ibrahim.
