1992 VOLKSWAGEN GOLF G60 RALLYE
Golf G60 Rally 109,700 kilometers Rare Rallye version Original red paint To be registered in French card In 1983, Volkswagen launches the production of its Golf II, small compact sedan of the German manufacturer. From then on, different models will be added to the Golf range like the famous GTi, the Golf Country or the Golf Rallye. The latter was released in 1989 so that Volkswagen could homologate its cars for Group A rally competitions. The regulation imposes a minimum production of 5,000 units and Volkswagen will not produce one more. The Golf Rallye's bodywork is completely modified compared to the original model. On the program: much wider fenders, larger front and rear fascias and rectangular front lights instead of round ones (from the Jetta). Under the hood, nothing is the same either. In order to meet the FIA requirements, the engine displacement is reduced from 1,800cc to 1,763cc. The 4-cylinder 1.8L will also be supercharged thanks to a G60 compressor (G for the shape of the compressor and 60 for its diameter in millimeters). The engine develops 161 horsepower. This Golf G60 Rallye is a real rarity! Painted in red, this car has just under 110,000 kilometers. Under the hood, the 1.8L is in good shape and starts without any problem. The bodywork is not to complain either and its original paint is in good condition too. Inside, the Recaro leather-fabric buckets are very clean, as well as the rear seat, the headliner and the floor mats. This car is undoubtedly one of the flagship models of Youngtimers and now is the time to grab it!
