1987 BMW M3 E30
The one that started the legend Serial number: WBSAK010300844264 Original French 130 000 km French title The M3 E30 is the first version of a true motoring legend, still on the market today. Designed in the middle of the 80's to restore the brand's reputation in competition and in particular to compete with the Mercedes 190E 2.3 16 and the Ford Sierra Cosworth, the recipe used by the tuner Motorsport is still the same: base the car on the small 3 series saloon, prepare the engine in a masterly way and sharpen the chassis. The result is also always the same: a car that can be used on a daily basis and that is capable of setting fast lap times on the track. Paul Rosche's 2.3-litre, 195-horsepower four-cylinder engine enabled the M3 E30 to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds and reach 240 km/h. With a two-cylinder shortened crankshaft, higher engine speeds can be achieved (up to 10,000 rpm on the race track) with maximum reliability. The M3 E30's 4-cylinder block also had an F1 career in the days of the turbocharged engines in the Brabham-BMW. The Getrag 5-speed gearbox and self-locking differential are a perfect match for this engine and the sports chassis. The car was a class-leading performer, winning the German DTM championship and numerous rallies. Our M3 came out of the factory on 2 July 1987 and is of French origin. With its Diamond Schwartz Metallic paintwork, it is currently presented in a very nice exterior and interior condition. Equipped with BBS wheels ready to put the 200 horsepower on the asphalt, our road test allowed us to see that it had not lost any of its fieriness. Watch out for your overconfidence on a wet roundabout! Note that our example without the sunroof will offer more rigidity when cornering at high speed, so don't miss this opportunity to treat yourself to the mythical M3 E30, which will become increasingly rare.
