1974 FORD RANCHERO GT
Serial number 4A4BH176420 Nice condition of restoration Rare on our roads Collector's French title (tray) Rare on our roads, the Ford Ranchero breathes America since the beginning of the 1960's and during more than 20 years of career following the stylistic evolutions of the American car production. Halfway between the Pick-Up and the muscular coupe, the Ranchero was a great success with more than half a million units produced until 1979. As the creator of this niche market, Ford sold its car under the slogan "More than a car, more than a truck" and addressed landowners who wanted a practical and utilitarian vehicle that was as comfortable in the middle of the fields as it was in the city. Based on the Ford Fairlane, the first model was conceived and designed at the end of 1956 using the technical and aesthetic characteristics of the family sedan. A lot of work was done on the design and on the engines during the 20 years of its existence; each generation is very marked by the influence of its time, going from the roundness of the 50's to the imposing stature of the 80's and 90's. The model we are presenting is part of the sixth generation of Ranchero. It is a GT model delivered new to the United States in 1974 and exported to France in 2008 where it underwent an important aesthetic and mechanical restoration where the paint was redone with the details also painted on the body and not glued. All the chrome elements of the car have disappeared and have been replaced by body-colored parts with the addition of aerodynamic appendices and air intakes to give the Pick-Up the look of a muscle car. Rare on our roads and so characteristic of the United States, treat yourself to the essential tool for any self-respecting Ranch!
