1965 Ford Thunderbird Coupé
Serial number 114477 Original French French title The first 1955 Thunderbird is named Thunderbird I Classic Birds and is a small two-seat roadster with a 245 horsepower Ford V8 and a three-speed manual or automatic transmission. The third generation Thunderbird (or second-generation Square Bird), which appeared in 1961, can be considered a milestone in American design history. The work of Elwood P. Engel, the head of the "Special Products Styling Section" - George Walker was then the head of Ford design - it is an original and very attractive creation, certainly the most beautiful of the Square Birds. The third generation Square Bird (1964 to 1966) marks the return of a baroque inspired style. But the spirit of the Thunderbird remains. This Ford Thunderbird coupe was registered new in France on November 2, 1965. Equipped with the 390 V8 engine, it is in a very nice condition both inside and outside. The exhaust is new, the gearbox and the engine have been recently rebuilt and the Edelbrock carburettor is new, the ball joints have been replaced, the brakes revised, an electronic ignition has been installed. In perfect working order, this T-Bird is a rare opportunity to acquire an American car delivered new in France in the 1960s.
