MATHIEU DE LA REDORTE Letters patent a majorat attached to his title of Peer of France in the name of Lieutenant General Count David Maurice Joseph MATHIEU DE LA REDORTE. These letters also institute a hereditary title of Baron to his descendants. Coat of arms painted au naturel in the upper left corner. On vellum, with engraved header "LOUIS PAR LA GRACE DE DIEU ROI DE FRANCE ET DE NAVARRE". Made on May 10, 1820 and signed by the Minister Secretary of State for Justice PORTALIS and "Louis" With its ribbons and its complete green wax seal representing King Louis XVIII in majesty and the Arms of France and Navarre (small chips). In its tin case marked on the lid "Monsieur le Comte Mathieu de la Redorte Pair de France" (missing the end cap). A.B.E. Restoration period.
