1957 JAGUAR XK150
The XK 150 is the final model in the XK series that began in 1947 with the XK 120. The philosophy is now more Grand Touring than purely sporting. Externally, the XK 150 differs from its predecessors in certain respects. Its profile was softened and the windscreen was now a single plane. Jaguar won the 1954 24 Hours of Le Mans with a D-Type equipped with the innovative disc brake system. The XK 150 benefits from this modern braking system, making it perfectly usable in modern traffic. The 3.4 litre, 190 bhp engine is well proven and reliable. The interior also includes some changes, with the dashboard now covered in leather instead of wood veneer. Unlike the E-Type, the XK 150 does not suffer from heat, its large radiator and a mechanical fan make it easy to use in today's traffic conditions.
